Background[]
A foul-mouthed, beer-guzzling, coffin nail smoking wino-turned-wrestler who has lost himself in every aspect of his life except for wrestling. Darkane sees life in black and white, no more, no less. He's generally hostile towards anyone or anything that approaches him and to get in his inner circle would be considered a work of God. Inside the ring he thrives in a world of violence and he certainly doesn't care what lows be it physical or mental that he will have to stoop to in order to terrorize others. On top of that, he doesn't stop until he sees fit; which might be a while depending on how long the everflowing stream of booze that slithers down his throat is and the alcoholic induced rage that follows thereafter.
Wrestling Career[]
Allstar Wrestling Alliance (2005)[]
Darkane debuted in 2005 competing in a small promotion. He was the first and last Rising Star Champion. He had a notable feud with Chris Walker who he beat to become the Rising Star Champion.
Various Promotions (2006-2009)[]
He would continue his path on through various promotions that seemed to open and collapse within a month. He then found BWF.
Bloodstone Wrestling Federation (BwF) (2009-2010)[]
Darkane signed with Bloodstone Wrestling Federation which at the time had been an established promotion. Darkane was quick to make his mark and destroyed everything in his path. He was considered one of the hottest prospects on the roster. He won an eight-man ladder match which held a contract in which stated that he could face any title holder of his choosing, unfortunately, tragedy struck as Darkane got injured and never quite recovered. He left the company in 2010.
Elite Answers Wrestling (2017-2019)[]
Darkane debuted in January 2017 as a member of the Showdown brand. He quickly made his mark picking up wins over Jackson Black, Kotaro Gin, Ryan Savage and most notably Ryan Marx, by May 2017 he became the number one contender for the National Elite Championship and eventually lost to Rex McAllister in an epic Falls Count Anywhere match on a Showdown Super Show.
At Pain for Pride X, Darkane competed in a 34-Person Battle Royal for the 24/7 Contract where he placed third. Although he came up short he drew a lot of attention for himself with his performance. At the EAW Draft Darkane was drafted by Dynasty. He debuted against Target Smiles and defeated him, in fact, he won his first four matches including a major upset over a hall of famer in Jacob Senn, which shocked the EAW world.
In the following weeks. he would win a fatal five-way match to determine the number one contender for the Hardcore Championship where he pinned Target Smiles again. On September 23rd, 2017 Darkane battled Hall of Famer Scott Diamond for the Hardcore Championship at House of Glass where he defeated him to win his first championship in a gruesome glass rules match. In his first defense, he defeated Ahren Fournier at Road to Redemption by driving him spine first through a table. In his second defense, he would best Hurricane Hawk at Dynasty: Invictus. He would eventually succumb to Jon McAdams at Reckless Wiring to end his five-month reign as Hardcore Champion.
At the 2017 awards show Darkane won the EAW 2017 Rookie of the Year, Darkane would then go on to the 2018 King of Elite finals along with Keelan, which he lost to Theron Nikolas.
Darkane would go on to compete in the Gold Rush tournament where he defeated Shaker Jones, Nico Borg and finally Scott Oasis in a first blood match at Grand Rampage 11 as a result, he became the number one contender for the Answers World Championship at Pain for Pride 11.
At Pain for Pride 11 Darkane would capture the Answers World Championship in a grueling match against Scott Diamond following Pain for Pride he would defend his title successfully against Jack Ripley at Dynasty: Revolution, Kevin Hunter on an episode of Dynasty and against Hall of Famers Impact & Cameron Ella Ava at Territorial Invasion.
Darkane's reign would come to an end at a Dynasty supershow titled Operation: Doomsday where he would fall to Theron Nikolas (with aid from Mr. DEDEDE] and most notably Impact) in a TLC match. Weeks later Darkane would be victimized by Mr. DEDEDE's equalizer thus putting him on the shelf for three months. Darkane would make his return on an Episode of Dynasty coming to the aid of his tag team partner Erebus Jennings to fend off Apocalypse and Donovan Cross which set up a tag team encounter that pitted The Black Cabal (Darkane and Erebus Jennings) against Donovan Cross and Apocalypse at King of Elite. The Black Cabal would pick up the victory but not without repercussions. Three masked assailants (to be revealed as The Queens Court) and Mr. DEDEDE himself would demolish Darkane post-match.
Darkane left EAW soon after.
Strong Style Wrestling (2019-Present)[]
Beginnings and Formation of The Phantom Troupe:[]
Darkane hit paydirt after his departure from EAW, resurfacing in Strong Style Wrestling. He had a chip on his shoulder and ran roughshod through the competition for the first few months. He later joined forces with Aria Jaxon based on a deal that was made that if Aria ever won the SSW Puroresu World Heavy Championship, he would get first dibs. They would wreak havoc as co-leaders of The Phantom Troupe. Darkane would eventually clash with CM Nas which led to Tarah Nova challenging Darkane in a last man standing match after Darkane decimated Nas in a cage. At SSW Blood Moon in one of the most brutal matches in SSW history Darkane ended Tarah Nova's SSW career.
Feud With Aria Jaxon and SSW Closure:[]
Tensions would soon rise in The Phantom Troupe. Darkane grew sick of doing Aria's bidding. At Dragon Soul Aria Jaxon would eliminate Darkane in a thrilling 30 man spirit royale which led to Aria's second SSW Puroresu World Heavyweight Championship reign when she defeated Masanori Kawada. Fulfilling her promise to Darkane, she granted him a title shot at SSW Attack on New York but not until she put Darkane through the wringer; sending in Phantom Troupe henchmen which Darkane promptly disposed of in short order. In a back and forth battle, Darkane failed to secure the SSW Puroresu Heavyweight Championship.
Not long after that SSW would close its doors.
A few months down the line SSW was given new life and thus Darkane’s first SSW Puroresu World Heavyweight Championship reign where he defeated Kai Stevens and Havoc. It lasted all but seven days where he succumbed to Stark.
The Death Reaper:[]
The Death Reaper: At SSW Gate to Heaven Darkane reluctantly agreed to face Matt Miles for the not so prestigious Cracker Championship. Darkane would eviscerate Matt Miles capturing what he thought to be The Cracker Championship until a mysterious figure emerged from a black fog, donning Darkane “Death Reaper” and holder of the Shinigami Championship.
Darkane went months and countless defenses without being defeated. Therefore, he decided to vacate the Shinigami Championship to explore SSW International where he will participate in the Tower of God tournament.
Omega Wrestling Alliance (2020-Present)[]
Debut and initial feuds:[]
Darkane made his surprise debut in Omega Wrestling Alliance at Hardcore Havoc where he attacked Gareth Cason post-victory. This would lead a star-studded tag match where a debuting Darkane and The Derelict defeated Gareth Cason and Bull Connors in an intense battle. Gareth would challenge Darkane to a Mexican Deathmatch at Boiling Point. Darkane would absolutely horrify the audience, knocking out a bloodied and battered Gareth Cason when he stuck his trademark shovel into his mouth and stomped down on his head. He would for all intents and purposes end Gareth’s career.
Struggles:[]
Darkane would go on to dominate the competition eventually joining forces with OWA’s version of The Phantom Troupe until hitting a rough patch when competed in a grueling Thunder Dome match for the Omega Heavyweight Championship. He would be pinned by The Derelict. A few weeks later he faced off against OWA Television Champion Noah Quinn in a deathmatch. To the shock of many Noah Quinn would pull off a clean victory. Darkane was down on his luck for a while after.
Reigniting the Flame:[]
At Civil War The Phantom Troupe would compete in a War Games match against The Resistance. Darkane would pick up the pinfall victory after he drove multi-time Hall of Famer Brian Daniels through a flaming table.
Clash Win:[]
This would set the stage for Clash of the Titans, Darkane would compete in the Clash of the Titans match, a jampacked 40 man over-the-top-rope battle royal. Darkane drew #39 which was earned thanks to his previous victory over then Omega Heavyweight Champion Nathan Fiora.
In an epic showdown with Finnegan Wakefield who was entrant number one, fatigue got the best of Finnegan and thus Darkane finally eliminated him to become the 2021 Clash winner.
OWA Omega Heavyweight Championship Reign:[]
At Final Destination 3 Darkane competed in a grueling triple threat Chaos Crypt (Hell in a Cell) match where he conquered Nathan Fiora and to a lesser extent Nate Cage. Most notably he powerbombed Fiora off the top of the cell and into the announce desk which would set up victory and his first reign as Omega Heavyweight Champion.
Fighting Champion:[]
Darkane made sure that he wouldn't accept sitting on his thumbs for the duration of his reign. He wanted to fight and defend his Omega Heavyweight Championship as often as possible, if only to cement the status quo. His first defense came against lowly Stark on an episode of Olympus and at Game Over Darkane would bury Graham Baker alive in a grueling affair thus setting up a match with fellow Corsair, Noah Reigner.
