OWA Clash of the Titans

Clash of the Titans is an e-wrestling event, produced every year by the professional wrestling promotion the Omega Wrestling Alliance. The concept of the match is that it is a multi-person battle royal to win an opportunity to wrestle one of the world champions at that year's Final Destination event. The only way to eliminate a wrestler is by throwing them over the top rope and having them land on the outside with both feet hitting the floor.

History

Match

The Clash of the Titans match is based on the classic battle royal match, in which a certain number of competitors (traditionally 30) aim at eliminating their opponents by throwing them over the top rope and both of their feet touching the floor. The winner of the match is the last person remaining in the ring after all other competitors have been eliminated. The difference between the classic battle royal match and the Clash of the Titans match is that the latter has the competitors have assigned entry numbers into the match. The match begins with the two wrestlers who have drawn entry numbers one and two, with the remaining twenty-eight wrestlers entering the ring at regularly timed intervals, which varies depending on OWA management, according to their entry number.

The tradition of the Clash of the Titans match is that the winner of the match is rewarded with a world championship match at the biggest OWA event of the year, Final Destination.

Women's Clash of the Titans match

In 2019, it was announced that a women's match would take place at Clash of the Titans (2019). It was originally known as the Clash of the Goddesses match, but has since been renamed to the Women's Clash of the Titans match as of 2020.
