The OWA Gift of the Gods Championship is a professional wrestling championship in the Omega Wrestling Alliance. It is currently part of the Odyssey brand, serving as the brand's secondary championship. The belt was first established on September 1, 2018 as part of the company's women's division, and is a counterpart to the OWA Spartan Championship on Kingdom and the OWA Television Championship on Olympus.

History[]

Origin[]

Upon the creation of OWA's women's division, the only belt made exclusively to be contested for and by them was the OWA Women's Championship. Subsequently, as the spring and summer of 2018 wore on, a spike in the number of female signees prompted not only another brand split, which gave the women their own brand in Odyssey, but another championship as well. On the September 1 premiere episode of Odyssey, brand General Manager Viola DeMarco revealed the creation of the title. DeMarco then stated that over the next number of weeks, the women who amassed the most victories in specific matches would be able to find themselves competing to become the inaugural Goddesses Champion. On the October 6 episode of Odyssey, DeMarco declared that Natasha Night, Dulce Torres, Eris, and Jessykah Schwarz would compete in a Fatal Four-Way match at Civil War to crown the first champion.
