The OWA Sparks Championship is a professional wrestling mid-card championship in Omega Wrestling Alliance. It is currently part of the Odyssey brand. It was first established on February 3, 2019. It was originally known as the OWA Cruiserweight Championship.
History[]

Current Sparks Champion, Tomomi Shinozaki
The OWA Openweight Championship started out as the OWA Cruiserweight Championship. It was originally won by Allesandro Devione at OWA Clash of the Titans (2019). Kevin Maverick then became the new champion by defeating Devione at OWA Final Destination (2019). The OWA Cruiserweight division looked promising, but after winning the championship, Maverick found the division withering away, and was not able to find suitable contenders to defend his championship. Once Donny Diamond became the new Olympus GM, he announced on the June 14th edition of Olympus that the division was no more, and that the Cruiserweight Championship would be renamed the OWA Openweight Championship.
Origin[]
